This specimen was lot 3794 in Goldberg sale 69 (Los Angeles, May, 2012), where it sold for $1,783. The catalog description [2] noted, "China - Taiwan. 2000 Yuan, 1966. For the 80th Birthday of Chiang Kai-shek. Reverse: Two cranes. With original red case (Chinese character for Long Life on case). Choice Brilliant Uncirculated." Chiang Kai-shek died in 1975 but Taiwan has not reunited with China.
