(Switzerland, shooting thalers and medals, 100 francs of 1986, for the Altdorf shooting festival in Uri, one ounce fine platinum, edge lettered "Good for 100 francs during the festival". Choice Proof.)"
This type was struck 1986-87 by Huguenin Frères, a private mint, which also made the shooting thalers for the regular festival in Appenzell (KM XS26). This may be just a bullion medallion with little connection with the festival. Silver specimens exist.
Record mintage: 10,000.
Specification: 31.10 g, 0.999 fine platinum, this specimen 31.10 g.
