This type was struck at the Bern mint 1985-93. The William Tell obverse was introduced in 1922, reduced to 15 g in 1931 and converted to copper-nickel in 1968. This subtype has incuse edge lettering and was demonetized in 2004. The 1985 has no mintmark.

Recorded mintage: 4,038,000 plus 12,000 proofs.

Specification: 13.2 g, copper-nickel, 31.45 mm diameter, lettered edge.
