Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 78552

This specimen was lot 78552 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 2 Francs, 1959-B. Bern Mint. PCGS MS-66." This type was struck at the Bern mint 1874-1967. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French two francs of 1866-1920.

Recorded mintage: 2,905,000 plus Specimens.

Specification: 10 g, 0.835 fine silver, 27.4 mm diameter.
