The first specimen was lot 485 in Goldberg sale 136 (Los Angeles, September 2023), where it sold for $114. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland. Specimen 1 Franc, 1956-B. Pop 16; 4 in 68, 1 in 69. PCGS graded Specimen 67." This type was struck 1878-1967 in silver and is still in production today in copper-nickel form. Few dates after 1936 are scarce and this one is common.

Recorded mintage: 2,500,000 plus specimens.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, .134 troy oz ASW, 23.2 mm diameter.
