This specimen was lot 23309 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Franc, 1947-B. PCGS MS-67. Sharply struck, brilliant and highly attractive." This type was struck 1878-1967 in silver and is still in production today in copper-nickel form. Few dates after 1936 are scarce and this one is fairly common.
Recorded mintage: 624,000 plus specimens.
Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, .134 troy oz ASW.
