Sincona sale 87, lot 4248

This specimen was lot 4248 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$162 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Eidgenossenschaft, 10 Rappen 1895 B, Bern. NGC MS64. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (confederation of Switzerland, ten rappen of 1895, Bern mint. Magnificent condition.)"

The SCWC records the 1895 as a slightly better date for the five and ten rappen. The type was struck 1879-2015 without change.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.15 mm diameter.
