This specimen was lot 74668 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1000 Kronor, 1992-D. Royal Swedish (Eskilstuna) Mint. Carl XVI Gustaf. NGC MS-68. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of Gustaf III. Exceedingly vibrant and alluring, with a pale olive-yellow hue throughout." Gustaf III was assassinated at a masked ball in 1792.
