The first specimen was lot 31063 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gustaf V gold 5 Kronor 1920-W, MS67 NGC. A superb example of this one-year type with full mint brilliance and pristine surfaces. Highly elusive in this elite grade and easily one of the finest we have observed. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." The second specimen was lot 31878 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gustaf V gold 5 Kronor 1920-W, MS66 NGC. Fully brilliant with virtually perfect surfaces. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." This type was issued 1920 only but enough were hoarded that it is readily available. It is the first five kronor issued since 1901 and the last gold five kronor (KM 766). The twenty kronor of 1925 was the last gold coin struck in Sweden for circulation.

Recorded mintage: 103,000.

Specification: 2.24 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.065 troy oz AGW, 16 mm diameter.
