This specimen was lot 31037 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Oscar II gold 10 Kronor 1901-EB, MS66 NGC. A virtually pristine coin with lightly toned surfaces and sharply defined details. Rare in this elite quality. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." Large quantities of this type became available when the Bank of Norway unloaded its gold reserves about a decade ago. This is the last issue of the gold ten kronor.

Recorded mintage: 213,286 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 4.48 g, 0.900 fine gold.
