This specimen was lot 12290 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $558. The catalog description[2] noted, "SWEDEN. 20 Kroner, 1900. ANACS MS-64." This type was struck 1900-1902 in large quantities. Not released at the time, large numbers were dispersed in the 1990's so that high grade specimens are readily available for a price. The last gold twenty kronor was minted in 1925.
Recorded mintage: 104,000.
Specification: 8.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .259 troy oz AGW.
