The first specimen was part of lot 50288 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $470. The catalog description[2] noted, "SWEDEN. 10 Kronor, 1894-EB. NGC MS-63 & MS-64. 2 pieces in lot." The second specimen was lot 1107 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $332.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Oscar II. 1872–1907. AV 10 Kronor. Stockholm mint. Lea Ahlborn and Emil Brusewitz, engravers. Dated 1894 LA EB. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Gem BU. Purchased from Frank Lapa, March 1970." This type was struck in limited numbers 1876-99 but the release of the hoard of the Bank of Sweden in the late nineties made this type common in all grades.

Recorded mintage: 36,000.

Specification: 4.48 g, 0.900 fine gold, the second specimen is Ø18 mm, 4.47 g, 12h axis.
