Steve Album sale 51, lot 3334

This specimen was lot 3334 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Oscar II, 1872-1907, AV 10 kronor, 1873, faint surface hairlines, lustrous fields, AU, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection, ex Coin Galleries Auction, February 14, 1996, Lot 1114." This type was struck in limited numbers 1874-76 but the release of the hoard of the Bank of Sweden in the late nineties made this type common in all grades.

Recorded mintage: 200,000.

Specification: 4.48 g, 0.900 fine gold, 18 mm diameter.
