This specimen was lot 34801 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden: Oscar I gold Ducat 1846/4-AG MS61 NGC, Stockholm mint. Conservatively graded with reflective fields." After the reform of 1798, 48 skilling = 1 riksdaler species and 2 riksdaler species = 1 ducat. This type was struck 1845-59 for Oscar I and is rather scarce.
Recorded mintage: 22,000.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.976 fine gold.
