This specimen was lot 47713 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Skilling, 1836. Stockholm Mint. Carl XIV Johan. PCGS MS-62 Brown. Narrow wreath variety." In the reform of 1830, the sixth and third riksdalers were dropped for eighth, quarter and half riksdalers. The skilling, formerly 1/48 riksdaler, became 1/128 riksdaler and new one-sixth (KM 639), one-third, half, two-thirds, one, two and four skilling issued in copper. The smallest silver denomination, the 1/32 riksdaler, was three skilling. This type was struck 1835-43. The wide wreath variety for 1836 is rare.

Recorded mintage: 583,000 including the wide wreath.
