Sweden 1810-OL ducat Fr-81
This specimen was lot 3078 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 4,750 CHF (about US$5,766 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWEDEN. Karl XIII. 1809-1818. Dukat 1810, Stockholm. Mit der Signatur OL (Olof Lidijn, Münzmeister in Stockholm, 1773-1819). Selten in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS64. Prachtexemplar. (kingdom of Sweden, Charles XIII, 1809-18, ducat of 1810, Stockholm mint, with mintmaster's initials "OL". Rare in this condition, Cabinet piece.)"
This scarce type was struck 1810-14. Another ducat (KM 582) exists for 1810 made from gold from the Dalarma mines; it has a different reverse.
