Künker sale 352, lot 1428

This specimen was lot 1428 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$6,124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEDEN, KÖNIGREICH, Gustav IV. Adolf, 1792-1809. Dukat 1807, Stockholm. GOLD. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Attraktives Exemplar, vorzüglich +. (kingdom of Sweden, Gustav IV Adolf, 1792-1809, ducat of 1807, Stockholm mint. Rare in this quality, extremely fine or better.)"

This type was struck 1799-1809 and is scarce as are most Swedish ducats.

Recorded mintage: 11,000.

Specification: 3.50 g, 0.976 fine gold, this specimen 3.48 g.
