This specimen was lot 72384 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Ducat, 1806-OL. Stockholm Mint. Gustaf IV Adolf. NGC AU-55. A hint of handling is noted upon the high points, but this example nevertheless remains exceptionally wholesome and vibrant, with great lustrous brilliance scattered throughout." This type was struck 1799-1809 and is scarce as are most Swedish ducats.
