This specimen was lot 30993 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Adolf Frederick Riksdaler 1769-AL, MS63 NGC. Variety with 9 heads in the chain. Nicely toned and original with underlying luster, small natural flan flaws on the obverse." This type is listed for 1768-69 only but is not scarce in circulated condition.
