This specimen was lot 30994 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Adolf Frederick 3 Daler (Riksdaler) 1770-AL, MS62 NGC. Nicely toned with considerable mint luster and no adjustment marks. A very scarce type in Mint State. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." This type is listed for 1770-71 only but is not scarce in circulated condition.
