Stack's Bowers February 2022 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75439

This specimen was lot 75439 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Fyrk, 1629. Nykoping Mint. Gustav II Adolf. PCGS AU-55. A nice example of the RARE two year type, this specimen is well centered and decently struck for the type, making it a great addition to the any general European collection." This denomination was the lowest in the Swedish monetary system, being worth about one quarter öre. It was last struck in 1629.
