This specimen was lot 1519 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: Edward VII, 1901-1910, AR 5 cents, 1910-B, great luster, PCGS graded MS63." This product of the Bombay mint represents a one year type and a debasement from the issue of 1902-03, which was 0.800 fine. The twenty and ten cents were similarly affected.
Recorded mintage: 13,012,000 + proofs.
Specification: 1.35 g, 0.600 fine silver.
