This ten cent piece is from a type issued for the Straits Settlements 1909-10. This type was originally issued 1902-03 in 0.800 fine silver (KM 21). This date is common in all grades. The Straits Settlements began as a miscellaneous group of trading stations in Southeast Asia and gradually developed into what is now Malaya.
