This specimen was lot 1365 in Goldberg Sale 139 (Los Angeles, June 2024), where it sold for $114. The catalog description[1] noted, "Straits Settlements. 50 Cents, 1905 (B). Edward VII. Pop 2; 2 in 50; 2 in 55; 2 in 62. PCGS graded EF-45. The Peh Collection Part II." This issue is supposed to have a "B" mintmark (for Bombay) but we can't find it on this specimen. This type was also struck 1902-03, which dates are scarcer. The coin was reduced in weight to 10.1 g for 1907.

Recorded mintage: 498,000.

Specification: 13.57 g, 0.800 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
