This specimen was lot 3140 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $352.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Straits Settlements. Cent, 1904. Edward VII. PCGS graded MS-62 Red & Brown." The type was struck in 1903-08 after the Straits Settlements were made a separate crown colony and is scarce in nice condition despite the large mintage.
Recorded mintage: 6,647,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 9.3 g, bronze, 29 mm diameter, reeded edge.
