Goldberg Sale 145, lot 767
G145-0767r.jpg

This specimen was lot 767 in Goldberg Sale 145 (Los Angeles, February 2025), where it sold for $78. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. One Pound, 2022. One Ounces of pure silver. 38.6 mm. Mintage 2000 struck. Elizabeth II. Reverse: Gothic Crown design of William Wyon. In original box of issue. Gem Proof." This NCLT is not an issue of Great Britain and nor is it listed in the SCWC. St. Helena, the actual sponsor of this issue, has less than 5,000 inhabitants, so we surmise that this NCLT was not struck for local use. St. Helena and Ascension islands were merged for administrative purposes in 2003 and their separate coinage ended.

Recorded mintage: 2,000.

Specification: 31.13 g, 0.999 fine silver, 38.6 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM unlisted, N#325039.
