Sincona sale 63, lot 3578

This specimen was lot 3578 in Sincona sale 64 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 1,800 CHF (about US$2,256 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | St. Gallen | St. Gallen, Abtei. Beda Angehrn von Hagenwil, 1767-1796. Halbbatzen 1780, Münzstätte des Klosters. Fast FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (abbey of St. Gall, Beda Angehrn von Hagenwil, 1767-96, half batzen of 1780, struck within the abbey. Rare, About uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"

The auctioneers catalogued this as a half batzen but it is marked "2 KREUZ[E]R" on the coin.
