St. Gall 1739-GR 15 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 4517 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 575 CHF (about US$797 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Stadt und Kanton, 15 Kreuzer 1739, St. Gallen. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Zuberbühler, Auktion SINCONA 16, Zürich, Oktober 2013, Los 6053. (Switzerland, city and canton of St. Gall, fifteen kreuzer of 1739, St. Gall mint. Rare in this condition, About Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1724-25, 1730-34, 1737-39. The convention thaler was 120 kreuzer. Fifteen kreuzer made one quarter gulden.
