This type was struck for Juan Carlos, king of Spain 1975-2013, in 1976-80, all dated 1975 on the obverse. The actual date is in the star on the reverse. This dual dating system was abandoned in 1982. The module carried over from the Franco five pesetas (KM 786) struck 1957-71.

Recorded mintage: 412,610,000.

Specification: 5.75 g, copper-nickel, 23 mm diameter.
