This specimen was lot 1316 in Jean Elsen sale 113 (Brussels, June 2012) where it sold for €260 (about US$389 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[2] noted,

"ESPAGNE, Alphonse XIII (1886-1931), AR 2 pesetas, 1894 PG-V, Madrid. Petits coups sur la tranche. presque Superbe. (Spain, Alfonso XIII, 1886-1931, silver two pesetas of 1894, Madrid mint. Tiny rim nicks, about extremely fine.)"

This one year type is the rarest two pesetas of Spain and the proud new owner of this specimen got a bargain.

Reported Mintage: 279,000.

Specification: 10 g, 0.900 fine silver.
