Shown is a Spanish half real struck in 1749 at the Madrid mint. Assayer JB is recorded for the years 1747-1758. This specimen was auctioned by Marti Hervera in Barcelona, Spain, on October 25, 2011, where it sold for 40 euro (about US$66 including buyer's fees). The catalog description reads:
"1/2 Real. 1749. MADRID. J.B. MBC+. (Half real of 1749, Madrid mint, choice very fine.)"

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.833 fine silver, 0.0453 troy oz ASW.
