Spain 1726-Seg F 1/2 real
This specimen was lot 870 in Jean Elsen sale 137 (Brussels, June 2018), where it sold for €60 (about US$84 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ESPAGNE, Philippe V (1700-1746), AR demi-real, 1726F, Ségovie. D/ Ecu couronné. R/ Croix cantonnée des armes de Castille et Leon. Fin de plaque. Superbe. (Spain, Philip V, 1700-46, silver half real of 1726, Segovia mint. Obverse: crowned arms; reverse: cross cantonned on the arms of Castile and Leon. Slight rim clip, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued in Segovia 1726 and 1728 for Philip V. The SCWC lists the type as common. The Segovia mint ceased to strike reales after 1729.
