This specimen was lot 33799 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $444. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI gold Proof 1/2 Pound 1952 PR66 NGC. A small selection with plenty of impact, presenting wholly lustrous, golden surfaces throughout. From the Collection of A Scottish Gentleman." The half pound was struck 1952-60. This date is fairly common.

Recorded mintage: 4,002 plus 16,000 proofs.

Specification: 3.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, reeded edge, AGW 0.1177 oz.
