This specimen was lot 76237 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "SOUTH AFRICA. 1/2 Sovereign, 1925-SA. Pretoria Mint. George V. NGC MS-64." The half sovereign was struck in South Africa intermittently 1923-60. This is the only type struck for George V and was issued 1923, 1925 and 1926.

Recorded mintage: 947,000.

Specification: 3.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.1178 troy oz AGW.
