This specimen was lot 1523 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "SOMALIA: AR 25 shillings, 1984, F.A.O. World Fisheries Conference, sea turtle, struck by the Royal Mint, NGC graded PF68 UC, RR. Authorized mintage of 500 but far fewer struck, probably around 50 or so."
Recorded mintage: 2,600 in copper-nickel plus 20,000 silver proofs plus piedforts.
Specification: KM 40: copper-nickel; KM 40a: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver.
