This specimen was lot 712 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "SIKH EMPIRE: AR rupee, Lahore, VS[18]96, VS1885 series, stunning quality for this series! NGC graded MS65." This product of the Lahore mint is noted for VS 1893-1903. Many other mints in the Sikh empire issued rupees.
