This specimen was lot 53337 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Shantung. 2 Cash, CD (1906). NGC MS-61 Brown. A SCARCE type, beautifully struck with good luster and dark chocolate brown color." This unusual type was accompanied by a ten cash (Y-10s). This province operated a mint 1905-07 only.
