Seychelles 1972 cent rev DSLR.jpg

This specimen was issued by Seychelles as part of the F.A.O. series. It was accompanied by an aluminum five cents (KM 18) featuring a cabbage plant. Seychelles, an island group in the Indian Ocean, is better known for its export of cinnamon, copra and vanilla; one wonders why a cow is featured on the coin.

Recorded mintage: 2,350,000.

Specification: 0.70 g, aluminum, 16 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 17.
