This specimen was lot 37398 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. 5 Shillings, 1594. Edinburgh Mint. James VI. PCGS VF-30. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1593-95 and 1598-1601 along with a thirty pence (2½ shillings) and ten shillings.
