This specimen was lot 1372 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,098 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWARZBURG, GRAFSCHAFT Günther XLI. von Arnstadt, 1552-1583. Reichstaler 1571, Arnstadt, mit Titel Maximilians II. RR Sehr schön. (Germany, county of Schwarzburg, Gunther XLI of Arnstadt, 1552-83, thaler of 1571, Arnstadt mint, in the name of Maximilian II. Rare, very fine.)"
This type is recorded in the SCWC in 1571 prior to the division of Schwarzburg into Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Schwarzburg-Arnstadt. All are scarce to rare.
