This specimen was part of lot 22621 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), which sold for $345. The catalog description[1] noted, "Lot of Six German States Coins, ...Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt Taler 1862.... Coins range in grade from VF to AU." Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt is now part of Thuringia. This type is fairly unusual but the harsh cleaning on this specimen relegated it to this bulk lot.
