This specimen was lot 34660 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it sold for $998.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Schwarzburg-Rudolphstadt. Friedrich Günther Taler 1812-L MS62 NGC. A broad and impressive example with mottled patina in varied shades of gray and russet tone. The devices are crisp and other than a small, virtually perfect circle that rests upon the neck of Friedrich, the surfaces are pleasing. A nice, mint-state example for this seldom encountered type." This type is listed for 1812-13.
