This specimen was lot 6571 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €3,600 (about US$5,010 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"REICHSGOLDMÜNZEN, SCHAUMBURG-LIPPE, Georg, 1893-1911. 20 Mark 1904. Kl. Randfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, George, 1893-1911, twenty mark of 1904. Minor rim rick, very fine to extremely fine.)"
All the reform coinage of this tiny state is scarce to rare. This twenty mark was struck in ceremonial amounts in 1898 and 1904.
Recorded mintage: 5,500 plus 132 proofs.
Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.
