This specimen was lot 3820 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €8,500 (about US$10,980 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHAUMBURG-LIPPE, SEIT 1807 FÜRSTENTUM Georg Wilhelm, 1807-1860. 10 Taler 1829, FF, Altona. Variante mit Münzmeistersignatur. Mit geriffeltem Rand. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Nur 874 Exemplare geprägt. Sehr schön +. (Germany, principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, George William, 1807-60, ten thaler of 1829, Altona mint, variety with mintmaster's signature. Very rare, only 874 examples struck, very fine or better.)"

This type is listed for 1829 only and is very rare. It is the only gold issue from this locale in the nineteenth century. This coin was equal to a Prussian double friedrichs d'or.
