This specimen was lot 3579 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,774 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM, Wilhelm, 1831-1884. 10 Taler 1831, CvC. GOLD. Winz. Randfehler, vorzüglich. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, William I, 1831-84, ten thaler of 1831. Minor rim nicks, extremely fine.)"
This one year type is rare. It was equal to the Prussian doppelter friedrichs d'or (Fr-2428).
