This specimen was lot 4384 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Schaffhausen, Vierer 1627, Schaffhausen. Selten. Sehr schön. Schrötlingsrisse. (Switzerland, canton of Schaffhausen, vierer of 1627, Schaffhausen mint. Rare, Very Fine, Flan cracks.)"
This type is listed for 1626-28 and undated. Four heller made a vierer or half a kreuzer. One batzen was four kreuzer. The city arms depict an ibex leaping, sometimes by itself or out of a castle window (as here).
Recorded mintage: unknown but very scarce.
Specifications: 0.53 g, billon, 15 mm diameter, this specimen 0.26 g.
