This specimen was lot 2570 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Friedrich August II, 1836-1854, AE pfennig, 1838, mintmaster initial G, a lovely lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64." This type was struck 1836-38 and is common in all grades. One thaler was 288 pfennig.
