This specimen was lot 381 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 3,250 CHF (about US$4,953 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Sachsen, Herzogtum, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, Albertiner, Friedrich August I. 1694-1733. 2/3 Taler 1731 IGS, Dresden. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS63. Prachtvolle Erhaltung mit feiner Patina. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I, 1694-1733, two-thirds thaler of 1731, Dresden mint. Rare in this condition, Beautiful condition with nice patina, Finest certified by NGC.)"

This type was struck 1709-33 and is quite a bit more available than the contemporary thalers (Dav-2653). By this time, the gulden or two-thirds thaler weighed only half a thaler.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 13.8 g, silver.
