This specimen was lot 77311 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. [[Saxony. 1/2 Taler, 1593. Dresden Mint. Christian II, Johann Georg & August. VERY FINE Details--Cleaned." This type was struck 1593-1601 along with another half thalers with heart shaped arms on the reverse (KM MB319). The SCWC notes that this type was struck by the regent Friedrich Wilhelm von Saxe-Altenburg on behalf of the three young brothers shown on the obverse.
