This specimen was lot 1449 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Saxony. 1/2 Taler, 1572. August, 1553-1586. Cuirassed half-length figure of August to right between 15-72, carrying sword across his shoulder. Reverse: Coat of arms with three helmets. NGC graded EF-45. The Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1571-86, all with mintmaster HB.
